We are coming out of the hottest stretch of summer, and just as the weather is set to cool, the real estate market is shifting, too. For the first time in years, inventory has climbed high enough to change the feel of the market noticeably. Buyers heading into fall will see more selection and a little more space to make thoughtful decisions (and perhaps slightly lower interest rates), while sellers will still benefit if they approach pricing and presentation strategically.
For sellers, the early Fall window remains a valuable moment before the typical year-end slowdown. Homes that are priced strategically and presented well should continue to draw strong interest. As we move through the season, all eyes will be on whether this expanded inventory leads to a more balanced market, or simply presents a brief opportunity before activity tapers toward the holidays.
